1999's The Sixth Sense

Written and helmed by M. Night Shyamalan, "The Sixth Sense" is a psychological horror movie that was released in 1999. The narrative is on a little kid named Cole Sear, played by Haley Joel Osment, who has the ability to see and speak with spirits. Cole is battling with his paranormal powers and trying to come to terms with them as well as the scepticism of his mother and Dr. Malcolm Crowe, his psychotherapist, who is played by Bruce Willis.

Dr. Crowe's involvement in Cole's case grows over the course of the narrative, both professionally and personally, and he starts to develop his own belief in the presence of ghosts.

In an unexpected turn of events, the audience finds out that Dr. Crowe is actually a ghost who was murdered at the beginning of the film by one of his previous patients.

A critical and economic triumph, "The Sixth Sense" received plaudits for its plotting, photography, and performances by its lead performers. Haley Joel Osment was nominated for Best Supporting Actor, while the film got six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. The film is frequently rated as one of the greatest of the 1990s and is regarded as a masterpiece of the horror genre.
