A documentary is a non-fiction movie or television show that educates viewers on a certain topic. Documentaries frequently explore social, political, historical, or scientific themes and give an unbiased perspective of the subject matter by using real-life film and interviews. Documentaries can be long-form features or shorter, ephemeral series.

Both TV shows and documentaries are well-liked entertainment genres that can offer viewers interesting and educational material. Documentaries are non-fictional, but TV shows frequently include fiction. However, some documentary-style TV series, such docudramas or reality TV shows, combine elements of both genres.

Popular action-adventure film series, "Pirates of the Caribbean," follows the exploits of Captain Jack Sparrow, a pirate in the Caribbean during the 18th century. There are five films in the series: 1. The Black Pearl: The Curse of the Pirates of the Caribbean (2003) 2. The 2006 film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 3. The 2007 film Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 4. The 2011 film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 5. Dead Men Tell No Tales: Pirates of the Caribbean (2017) The first four films in the franchise have made over $4.5 billion in total worldwide box office.
