Harry Potter
Eight fantasy films based on the Harry Potter books by British author J.K. Rowling make up the Harry Potter film series. The films, which Warner Bros. produced, were released between 2001 and 2011 over a ten-year period.
Daniel Radcliffe's portrayal of Harry Potter, a teenage wizard who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and Ralph Fiennes' portrayal of Lord Voldemort, the evil wizard, serve as the series' central characters. Harry's closest friends and allies, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, are among the series' vast ensemble cast.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which was released in 2001 and was known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the US, is the first movie in the series.
